Marine Lube
Designed to prolong the lifespan of your engines, generators, hydraulics or compressors, we stock a range of industry-standard high-grade lubricants. When working with engines we lean towards using Shell lubricant as it has been designed specifically for heavy-duty diesel engines. Shell oils are formulated to provide protection against wear, deposits, and oxidation, while also offering enhanced performance in terms of engine cleanliness, fuel efficiency, and overall durability. The Rimula product line includes various formulations tailored to different engine types, operating conditions, and performance requirements.
When working with hydraulic systems, such as cranes or swim platforms, we Supply all the major brands as required. These oils are designed for specific use in hydraulic systems and are formulated to provide lubrication, corrosion protection, and heat dissipation within hydraulic systems, ensuring smooth and efficient operation. We use these oils as they come in different viscosity grades and formulations to suit the specific requirements of different hydraulic systems; while typically offering excellent oxidative stability, thermal stability, and anti-wear properties, helping to extend the service life of hydraulic equipment and minimise downtime.
When ordering your marine lube through Peninsula, we will handle everything; including any required pumping; allowing the product to be delivered straight into your superyacht tank if required. Urea
As part of our drive towards a more sustainable yachting industry, we also supply urea. Marine Urea or Aqueous Urea Solution (AUS), also referred to as AdBlue (particularly in the automotive field), serves as a vital reagent for diminishing Nitrogen Oxide (NO2) emissions. Within contemporary mid-range yachts, Urea finds its application within the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system, guaranteeing compliance with Tier III emission regulations. At Peninsula, we favour AUS 40/38 due to its precise formulation to effectively reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions in diesel engines, including those found in superyachts.
Urea is typically supplied in barrels, and we’re pleased to offer additional services such as arranging for onboard pumping of the product. This service can be supplied alongside standard yacht bunkering.
SulNox
